SATURDAY: Designer Drugs "By Rx Only" CD Release P
Recently the idea was put for to start a new zine here on the board. Well, I've stolen the idea, and I've started to run with it. However I need content. Your potential audience thirsts for mental (among other kinds of) stimulation! So if you're a writer who can sling words like spiderman slings webs, let me know... for the sake of everyones sanity, I shouldnt be allowed to write!
I'm not looking for cookie cutter punk zine crapfests either. Next time i see someone in a punk zine asking what a bands infuences are, i swear im gonna find em and beat the shit out of em. If you're going to interview someone, i want to hear about the skeletons in thier closet. I want stories of the bad mojo they've been through. I want blood sweat and tears so to speak. I want narative and i want stories, not wastes of paper.
Interviews are not the only thing I want either. I want someone who knows about musical equipment writing about how someone just learning can pick a good axe rather than getting stuck a piece of crap. I want people to write in about how to get your band booked, the proper way to flyer and advertise. and you better believe im going to write 'how to run basement shows for morons'
We'll branch out too. I want stuff about the great shit the eff is doing, and articles about digital rights and protection of privacy.
Dont be scared to send in quality short fiction either.
Also, the idea is to fill a good portion of the zine with photos. SO you photographers out there, get back to me too. I'll let you know the kind of shit we're looking for.
